Terms of Service

Last updated: 17 July 2026

These terms govern your access to and use of CURUZA. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using CURUZA (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorized to accept these terms for that business.

2. Your account

You may sign up with a phone number or an email address. You are responsible for keeping your PIN or password confidential and for all activity that happens under your account.

The first person to register a shop becomes its Owner. Owners can invite team members and assign roles (Manager, Accountant or Cashier), and are responsible for the actions of the members they add.

3. Free during the launch period

CURUZA is currently free to use. During this launch period there is no subscription fee, no plan to choose, and no seat limits — you have full access to all features at no cost.

We are offering the Service free to help as many shops as possible start keeping proper records. We may end the launch period in the future; if we do, we will give you advance notice before any charges begin, as described below.

4. Future transaction fee

In the future, CURUZA intends to introduce a small fee calculated as a percentage of the digital transactions you process through the Service (for example, payments made by mobile money, card, or bank transfer). The fee, if introduced, is charged against your business's transaction volume — it is never a charge to your own customers, and it does not apply to cash sales or sales recorded on credit.

By accepting these Terms you acknowledge and agree that such a per-transaction fee may apply in the future. We will give you clear, advance notice of the fee — including the rate and the start date — before it begins, and you will be free to stop using the Service if you do not wish to continue under the fee.

This clause is a disclosure of our intended future model; it does not itself start any charge. No fee is being collected today.

5. Hardware, commitments and special arrangements

If we ever subsidise or discount CURUZA-branded POS hardware for you (for example, a shop scanner or receipt printer), that discount may be conditional on you continuing to use CURUZA for a stated term. If you end that use earlier without cause, we may invoice the pro-rated unsubsidised hardware price.

Nothing here requires you to use CURUZA exclusively — you remain free to run other software or hardware in your business. Exclusivity, franchise, wholesale-partner, revenue-share, or custom-SLA arrangements, if ever agreed, are only binding through a separate written agreement signed by an authorised signatory of your business and by CURUZA. Such an agreement is not created by these Terms, by app checkboxes, or by any click-through step during signup. Where a signed agreement covers a matter also touched by these Terms, the signed agreement prevails on that specific matter.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, attempt to access other shops' data, disrupt the platform, or use it for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

7. Your data

You own the business data you enter. We process it to provide the Service as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the accuracy of the records you keep.

8. Availability and liability

We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but it is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the Service.

9. Changes and termination

We may update these terms or the Service from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app. You may stop using the Service at any time by ceasing to pay; we may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.

10. Contact
