A day at the counter

Here is what changes between opening and closing.

You open up

Last night's numbers are already waiting for you. Three products are flagged low before a single customer walks in and asks for them.

The rush hits

Scan it or tap it, and the sale is done. Prices come off your own list, so nobody at the counter has to remember them or guess.

You lock up

Today's profit is on the screen before you leave. Not just what went into the till, but what you actually kept.

How it works

From signing up to your first sale in four steps. No training, no manual — and if entering your stock feels like a lot, we can do it for you.

What shop owners notice first

Sell it however they ask

By the sack, by the kilo, or by the half kilo. Open a sack and the arithmetic keeps itself.

Never lose track of a debt

Give credit to the customers you trust. Balances, due dates, and a flag the day one goes late.

Your margins stay yours

Cashiers ring up sales all day and never see what you paid for the goods.

Every shop, one login

Move between branches in a tap and see which one is actually earning.

No email, no card

A phone number and a four digit PIN is the whole sign up.

In the language you work in

English, Français and Ikinyarwanda, with prices in RWF.

You already run your shop. This just shows you the numbers.

Questions shop owners ask

What is CURUZA?

CURUZA is a free point-of-sale and shop management app for retail businesses in Rwanda. It runs on a phone, records every sale, tracks what is left on the shelf, and shows what you actually earned — for a single counter or a chain of branches.

Is CURUZA really free?

Yes. The whole app, for every shop, with no card and no monthly bill. There is no trial that runs out and nothing to upgrade to.

Can I take payments by MTN Mobile Money?

You can record a sale as paid by Mobile Money, alongside cash, card, bank transfer or credit, so the day's totals match what actually came in. CURUZA does not collect the payment itself — the customer pays you on MoMo as they always have, and you record it at the counter.

What kinds of shops is it for?

Supermarkets, boutiques, grocery and convenience shops, drinks depots, bars, electronics, cosmetics, hardware, bookshops and more — 13 shop types to choose from at signup, each starting with categories that fit. Shops that sell by weight can sell a sack, a kilo or a half kilo of the same product.

Does it work when the internet cuts out?

CURUZA installs to your home screen and opens like a normal app, but it needs a connection to load your shop's data. It is built to stay usable on a slow one.

What happens to my data if I stop using it?

It stays yours and it stays put. We do not delete a shop's records for going quiet, and you can export everything to PDF or CSV whenever you want it.

Can my cashier see my buying prices?

No. They can sell and check stock. Cost prices and profit stay with you, and you choose what each person on your team is allowed to open.

Can I use it in Ikinyarwanda?

Yes. CURUZA works in Ikinyarwanda, English and Français, and each person on your team picks their own. Prices are in RWF.

What do I need to start?

A phone and a phone number. There is no card to enter, no computer to buy and nothing to install — you sign up with a number and a four digit PIN, and can add your products the same day.

Your shop's numbers, in one place.

Free forever. A phone number is all you need to start.
